Samsung ER-290 has correct total, but randomly prints gibberish numbers across a line where an item and price should be. Now, it's also randomly printing $1.40 vs $1.50 or .40 vs .50

your printer needs some mechnical adjustement for the print wheel and gear train by qualified service technician.

SOURCE: date/time stamper will not print correctly

mine is doing the same thing. I read that the 3V battery may need to be changed.... so I changed the 3V and all four AA batteries and hit reset and am still experiencing the same as you. Random **** printing when display seems okay. Never same stuff twice. Very frustrating.

This can be any of rthe following depending on the position iof the lines on the page. You need to establishe the position of the lines relative to the top of each page and this determines which of the following component will cause the problem

Dirty or damaged developer roller.
Dirty or damaged charging roller.
Dirty or damaged cleaning roller.
Dirty or damaged developer DSD wheels. These wheels are located on the outer ends of the color toner cartridge and appear as a black bushing.
Dirty or damaged transfer roller.
Dirty or damaged transfer drum.

All of them need inspecting and cleaning

Checked ink cartridge's, two had dried out, still had ink in them but the exit apertures were blocked.
So new set of ink cartridges and problem fixed.
