There is a DS Option Pak Inserted

My son's DS says that there is a DS Option Pak inserted when he has a GBA game in, but it will not let him play it. Is there a fix for this?? Thanks in advance!

My son inserted a DS Option Pak but cannot access it? Note this is a new DS Option Pak and there has been no spillage of liquid onto the Nintendo DS Lite console.

Okay: do not worry this is not a problem the the slot 2 cartridge is not a game and therefore cannot be played :) so there is nothing wrong with it. you can trust me on this one, I have one of these. The only thing this bottom cartridge is, is kind of like an adapter to connect to the computer. you should have recieved a usb cable that goes along with the cartridge. when your ds is turned off, you can connect the usb side of the cable to your computer, and the other side to the bottom cartridge, ( note that you should also have the slot 1 card in the top game slot while doing this ) then turn on your ds, and click on the the top game (not the option pack) then it should give you the option to go to usb mode. im sorry if i made this seem too complex, but you can email me at [email protected] for more help, if you'd like :)

Turn the DS off, put the game in and then turn it on again. If it doesn't work, either the game pak is broken or the place where you put it in is dusty!

All my gba pokemon games are new and it says ds potion pak insert

The game is just checking if there is in the slot 2 socket a addon card placed, like a rumble pack or a extended memory pack for the ds browser.

Can game boy advance games work on an nintendo ds?

Yes, GBA games will play on the DS. And I'm not sure if it matters to you, but you can also pick whether it plays on the top or bottom (touch) screen

Game Pak not detected

Have you checked to see if any of the contacts in the actual console seem to be faulty?

If the problem is just with DS games, have a check by inserting a GBA game into the other side and see if it recognises it. That should tell you where the problem is. If there's a small bit of dust covering one of the contacts in the console, just blow into it a little and see if it comes free.

Ds wont turn on when game inserted

they probably would realize due to serial numbers - too risky.

Ds problem

The only solution I can think of at the moment is that you're putting them in the wrong slot. I fear for your intelligence if this is the case. Make sure that no dust has got into the card, that the card isnt damaged, and that they are inserted into the right slot the right way round. It should click if inserted correctly. If you hear a crack then you've done it wrong and snapped the card.
