That looks like a pre-programed system alert code to me that activates when a certain problem arises. Check your user's manual for system alerts. If no joy, try contacting Dell and simply ask them what that particular alert means. If they want to charge you (typical of these manufacturers) throw yourself on their tender mercy and say that you are not asking them to repair it, you only want to know where you can find what that alert means. It's worked for me in the past. Also try the Dell website for your model, they may have it posted there.

The inverter maybe faulty, it supplies high voltage to the CCFL lamp and would cause the screen to be black.
Since it was just repaired, I suggest you return it to Dell to have it repaired under warranty.

Try a different power cord.That may be the problem or the power jack where the cord goes into the laptop.

No, the video cards on laptops are intergrated on the motheboard and can not be upgraded, in fact you can't even replace it with the same model. If it dies you have to replace the entire motherboard.

if the charging light doesn't come on i think it would be your power jack in your computer loose. this is not a home fix if so it would need to be sent off to get done. i would definitely suggest doing this especially if it is the problem and because if its under warrenty still they will fix it.
