My toilet runs constantly

I adjusted the clasp on the pin and that fixed it for a few months but now no matter how I adjust the clasp, the toilet doesn't stop running.

It is only about 3 years old. Even when I manually lift the bubble/ball as high as it can go, it still doesn't stop running. Would you still recommend getting a new one?

How old is the toilet? Might have lime buildup in the housing that's keeping the float from raising completely. The whole assembly is relatively inexpensive at Wal-Mart, and very easy to change. It would probably be less hassle than trying to fix the old one. I found that out after wasting a lot of time trying to mix my old one. :-)

The clasp on my steel watchband pulls away from the band creating a large gap. it looks bad and catches on things. what do i do?

You need to make sure that if you had the watch band adjusted they did not adjust it at the clasp. When you adjust the watchband links should be removed if you adjust it at the clasp the band keeps pulling open. When you open the clasp fully make sure the pins are on the end holes. If the pins are in the end holes then, the clasp is probably sprung somehow and you will need a new one or have a jeweler or watch repairman fix it! You may also be able to order a new clasp from manufacturer! Hope this helps!!

I have a american standard toilet mode 4112 that keeps running.....any suggestions on how to fix it?

The flapper ball may be contaminated and not sealing or the float level has changed and needs adjustment. You should be able to see if the overflow has water flowing into it continuously.

Other than removing links, can I make smaller adjustments to the band on my Omega seamster limited edition?

mcdevito75 here, You should right at the clasp, simply remove the pin and move the entire band up thru the other adjustment holes you see along side the clasp itself. If there aren"t any additional holes along side of the clasp for the band to move up closer to the clasp lock, then no other adjustments can be made.

Running toilet

At the top of the float there is a screw head, you need to adjust that until the water stops at the proper level. If this does not stop it from running then you will have to replace the float and I also recommend that you replace the flapper as well. This is not an expensive fix and the instructions are very easy to follow.

Toto toilet is constantly running, even though the tank is full

it sounds like it might be the floater ball in the toilet you can adjust the tension on it usually with a screwdriver.... if you look from the top down you should see a screw on the top of the arm that holds the floater adjust the tension and hopefully this will work

How to remove links from band

This band is put together with cotter pins. To remove the cotter pins look at the edge of the band. The end of the pin that comes out is split and looks like a screw. The end that is solid is the end you want to push from. Use a small punch to push the pin out. The split end is the bigger end of the cotter pin so it needs to come out and go back in the same way it came out. Make sure you remove an even number of links on each side so the watch sits on the wrist the right way. You also have a micro adjustment on the clasp. To adjust the clasp simply use a punch to press the spring bar in the clasp in until it moves. This is a spring bar so be careful it doesnt jump out if the clasp comes apart.

Adjusting clasp on a Timex watch

Check that clasp from both sides and you should see spring lug ends. Use small pin to get them out(by pushing in). When pin is out you can adjust bracelet.

Good luck
