A Google search for "giant revive chain guard" seems to indicate that they were generally not available even when the bike had not been out very long.

see if theres a master link on the chain and take off from that way you dont have to take off the guard. the master link will look diffrent from all the other links and can normally be removed with a screwdriver

Loosen the nut on the axle and adjust the chain adjusters to pull the axle to the rear. Make sure that each adjuster is moved an equal amount and when finished should protrude an equal amount. Retorque axle to 50-60 foot pounds of torque.

SOURCE: Chain slips when in 7th

Hi.

If the chain slips when the bicycle is in high gear you need to align the rear derailleur hanger. See the picture below:

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome. The chain guard does have significant value. It keeps your legs safe from the chain and it also protects the chain. If the chain pops, it comes off safely. Chain guards are made out of plastic so they are easy to penetrate through. The only way to attach it is through the frame, unless the frame already has a hole in it. You will need to get a drill and cut into the frame to be able to attach the chain guard. It all depends on the size of the bike. Some fit very well while others moderately fit. Calculate all your measurements, drill your hole(s), and attach it.

Where could I find a kickstand for a giant revive

Try your local Giant dealer. If you don't have one, most local bike shops can get you a kick stand that will work with your bike. Kickstands cost about $10 and up.

Two banging sounds with each rotation

Most beach cruisers have a chain guard. There is always a slight "wobble" of the front chain ring, check to make sure the chain isn't slapping the chain guard. The chain guard can be adjusted. The chain also might have loose tension causing it to bounce around just enough to hit the chain guard. The opposite may be true, if the chain is too tight, you could be getting a popping sound at certain points on the chain as it messes with the gear teeth, in this case loosen the chain slightly to put a little slack in it.

I just bought a La Jolla 26' men's bike and the pedal stem is scraping on the chain guard. How and where do I make adjustments?

Examine the top of the chain guard where it mounts to the bicycle. Loosen the fasteners enough to slide the chain guard in and out. Adjust it so it doesn't hit the crank or rub on the chain and tighten the fasteners back down.
