I shut off my sony KV-35S42 and tried to turn it back on all I get is a flashing timer light I un plugged it and let it sit 2 min and still got the same thing

Your vertical IC will need resoldering. If you can take this board out and inspect the pins under the vertical IC, you will see rings around the IC. This is a common problem for you model of TV. Hope this helps...show a few hands of support.
IC/high power transister(s) and/or other componentshas gone bad gone bad - usually from a power surge. These will have to be replaced. A technician should check these out for you.
Sony FD Trinition Wega KV-32HS510 Try to turn tv on -it starts then shuts off -stand by lights keeps flashing. Memory stick light flashes then goes off.
