SOURCE: Hitachi 60EX38B shuts down after 30 min or 45 min of viewing.

I would offer that you at least take the back off and give it a good cleaning - compressed air etc .. its gotta be dusty .. the dust could be causing some heat problems

We will be watching the tv or any other audio or video source and the receiver makes a "pop" and the audio goes out. If we are watching TV the picture stays on till I turn off the amp to reboot...

Sorry to say it, but you just need to get a new receiver. There is probably a capacitor going bad on the circuit board. It's only a matter of time before it quits completely. The only other option is to take it to a repair shop where it can be tested. Hope this helps.

Will not play or record, states on screen its in safeguard mode E03

try reseting the camcorder. most electronics go into safe mode when they detect a major problem so nothing else can go wrong. there should be a small pin hole some where that says reset or take out battery for 30 min. if this dose not work then take it somewhere to have it looked at.

Problems booting up. it cycles for up to 30 mins

Dear cobbsl00,

Whenever a system takes up to 30 minutes to boot, you may have a problem with the boot loader files, the Master Boot Record or the NT load files. If you are able to boot, immediately try to salvage any important data before it gets lost for good. Then try reloading your OS from scratch,

Good luck!

I received my Acer 4315-2004 in December of 2007, and this week was the first time I travelled with it using the battery pac. Although the icon at the bottom right said it was 100% charged the screen...

Depends on the settings in the control panel/ power options.
If everything is maxed out 45 min to an hour is it.

If you tweak it you can get up to 2 hours if it is the heavy duty 4000-4400.

Reciever malfunctions after 30 mins use

This receiver runs VERY hot during normal operation. Make sure you provide good ventilation for it.

With summer here, you might consider a small clip-on fan and clip it near the top of the receiver. The amplifier section is along the front of the chassis - so that's the source of heat.

See if unblocking it helps - then try the fan.
