Usb device not recognised

Connect your computer to your printer via a USB port and then let the computer scan for the device automatically....
if the computer displays usb device not recognised insert the Drivers CD that came with the printer into your CD rom and install the drivers then restart your system.....connect the printer to your PC again if u r PC recognizes the printer...then problem solved if not then......plug in ur printer to ur PC via a USB port and goto > start > settings > contol panel > System > device manager > here u will see a question mark icon right click on the question mark and select "update driver"

1. a window will appear "Can windows connect to windows update to search for software" select "No, not this time"
2. click "NEXT"
3. select :install from a list of specific location"
4. click "include this location in the search
5. insert your printer's driver CD and then
   
6. click browse
7. select the drivers folder and select the driver for the windows you are using
8. click next and the PC will update ur printer's drivers
9. after the drivers are installed restart your PC
   
10. and ur PC will now recognize the Printer.
    

HI,

Is this the first time you connect your printer on that computer? This can be the USB port does not support a 2.0, or your data cable/printer cable is damage.
