The function is called ROUND. It has 2 arguments, (1) the original number and (2) the number of decimal digits. Here is the Excel's help: ROUND(number,num_digits) The number you want to round. None. num_digits The number of digits to which you want to round number. If num_digits is greater than 0 (zero), then number is rounded to the specified number of decimal places. If num_digits is 0, then number is rounded to the nearest integer. If num_digits is less than 0, then number is rounded to the left of the decimal point.
So for your case use this in a cell "=ROUND(12350*32.75%, 0)" without quotes, where I assume one or both numbers will come from other cells. -Ken

Just follow these steps: Suppose you have 10 cells having values with decimal points that you want to change to no decimal values.
1. Select those 10 Cells. Right click on ANY ONE OF THEM. 2. Click on "Format Cells" 3. In the "Number" tab, there is a list of Categories. 4. Click on "Number" (given after General). 5. Decrease the Decimal Places: to zero. 6. Click OK
Please Rate if you found the above info useful. And please inform if the problem is solved or not.

Hello,

What you need to do is to right-click on the cells involved, and select Format Cells.

All you need to do is to lower the Decimal Places to 0. That should take care of the problem.

Thanks for using Fixya.

I should mention the Decimal place box will only show if the left side is Number, Currency, or Accounting.

Can you round 3,150,000 to 2 decimal places

Huh?
To round off a number to 2 decimal places.... you would have to have a decimal. Your number of 3,150,000 implies 3,150,000.00

There is no rounding in this case. It is simply adding a decimal and two zeros after the decimal.

How to round 10.96 to the nearest cent?

If that is $10.96 you mean, it is already rounded to the nearest cent, as it only needs 2 decimal places.

Rounded to the nearest dollar, it is $11. Anything 50 cents and above is rounded up, otherwise, round down.

Rounding decimals 3 places

You round a number with several decimal places to a number with fewer decimal places.
1.14 rounded to 1 decimal place 1.1
What you are asking for can be done by putting a zero after 4 and write 1.140, BUT that is not rounding. In fact you can put as many zeros after 4 as you want.

Using an excel sheet, assume that sum of some cells is 100.77 and i want to use this sum in other cells but 100 in a cell and 0.77 in another cell, so what is the equation or what can i do to do it ??

You could use the round function to split the value around the decimal point (assuming that is what you want to do).

e.g. in one cell the value is Rounddown(ref cell)
in other cell value is refcell - Rounddown(ref cell)

Might want to check help file on "rounding" to confirm exact function name

Excel 07 truncuating problem

You need to use the ROUND function.
E.g. type: =ROUND(A1,2)*A2

Assuming the 2.131576 is in cell A1 and 1000 is in A2.
The round function round the value to 2 decimals (in this case because I specified 2 as the second argument).
