Acer Speakers not functioning

I just bought , brand new out of the box, an acer aspire m3201 set that included a pair of usb speakers, but are not functioning at all. I checked in the control panel under sounds and sound tests prove all channels are functioning. I tested all channels from stereo, surrounds 5.1 and 7.1 using my screen speakers, and all channels are working. I also tested in the Realtek HD audio Manager that is in the task bar. I would disclose that the these speakers that came with my new PC are defunct. However I can also narrow it down to a possible driver problem? I don't know how these usb speakers work. There is a usb AND a standard audio jack.

If you do have a reinstall disk you might want to disconnect the speakers ,run the install disk follow the instructions .This might take care of it.

Most desktop computers are hard wired and not wireless, so the answer is no. Unless you buy yourself a wi-fi USB dongle.

Have windows 7 on my new acer aspire 5517; trying to get external speakers (2 different kinds) to work. my generic usb speakers install and it shows they're working properly, but errors when trying to play...

what happens when you plug the speakers in the green port? You might want to try the other audio ports because on a few new computers i have seen the speakers have to be plugged in a different hole. also make sure the speakers are plugged up to the electric plug.

Hi there.
The best card for a desktop is a PCI Firewire card which goes inside the desktop base unit, i suggest you buy a brand new one as it will have the install drivers included with it.
