My canon 1000 display does not show and when i look through viewer comes up as busy when i try take a photo. now does not turn on at all.

Many digital photo viewers can only display photos of a certain size or less. Check your owner's manual, or find the manual online, and it should tell you what the upper size limit is for your viewer.

Try pressing the DISP button near the bottom right of the back of the camera.

Try using a card reader to download the missing 1000 pics. In the future, don't leave so many pics on the card...they aren't made for long storage.

There are different settings. You can view the past photos because you are using the viewer for that, but you have a setting off in the menu. You need to turn on view photo or preview photo after picture taken. I am not sure what it is in the Canon line, but look in your manual for the setting.

have you tried clicking the display button on the lower right hand side of the lcd panel (when closed) ?

i have to ask this but have you moved the slide switch from viewer to eye view look through the viewer and see if your photos are being reviewed in the eyepiece

Install/upgrage office 2003 sofware. it comes with Picture & Fax Viewer. office xp and office 2000 doesnt come with Picture & Fax Viewer.
