If you can take it out and put it in, and it is a battery. Then yes your fitbit battery can be changed. Make sure you replace with another battery though. A nickle or a dime will also do the trick but keep in mind if you use a nickle or a dime in place of the battery you must carry a pencil and a note pad to write down your steps count as needed. Either of the two are equally popular choices. Glad I could help, thats why Im here!

The quick answer is that the watch was designed so the answer would be no.
The longer answer is that all things are possible but it is not easy.

The best answer is that you can buy a refurbished watch with "some" warranty, at least in the USA from a third party.

My Fitbit sleep report has stop reporting. How do I get it working again?

The battery might have gone bad, or it is defective. Call Fitbit and see if they will repair or replace it. They don't just stop working for no reason, as I said, the battery might be dead and need changing or charging, or it needs to be repaired or replaced by Fitbit. Call them if you are no sure.

On my iPhone app the Fitbit shows a battery icon In orange after one day of use. Above this icon there is a green symbol ((.)). Fitbit is working fine but what does this mean.

The Status Bar that is displaying itself related to your FitBit is the Battery Life/Charge Level Indicator for your FitBit, it changes Colors as the battery reaches different stages, it'll be different colors with low or critically battery life remaining for example. Your Fitbit manual will give you a more accurate answer as to what each color means but usually Green is associated with a Full Charge and Still Shows Green Doen to About 30%-40% Battery Life Remaining, Then It’ll change to Yellow or Orange until it gets critically low which is about 10%-15% and 10% or less will most likely be RED to let you know it’s time RON Charge orb go without the FitBit because it’s almost dead. Most Bluetooth Devixes Show their Battery Status or Charge Level on your phone, hopefully this helps and feel free to let me know if this helped by clicking the icon to let me know this was helpful. You're welcome RON leave a review or follow me as well. All the same, I hope this helps you out.

My fitbit seems "dead". Tried to charge it but no reaction...

Hello, Tony -

Did you check the FitBit web pages for information and troubleshooting regarding your FitBit not charging?

See the information on a FitBit web page here:
http://help.fitbit.com/articles/en_US/Help_article/1190/?l=en_US&c=Topics%3ABattery&fs=Search&pn=1

The last option listed on that web page is to contact FitBit Customer Service.

You may need to replace the battery in your FitBit. Note: Rechargeable batteries do not last forever and eventually need to be replaced.

Best wishes.

I really don't like the charging types, my wife and I both use the Garmin Vivofit wristbands. The battery is good for a year or so and requires a single small watch battery to be changed. Has an Android app that it syncs (Bluetooth, wireless within 30 ft.) with and makes tracking much easier. This is what it looks like:

BTW Mike, never, never, never give out your name and address over the internet. "Thar be dragons here, friend ....."

How do I charge my fitbit zip battery?

You cannot charge the Fitbit Zip as it uses a coin battery.
The Fitbit Zip runs on a replaceable 3V coin battery, CR2025.
It can be found wherever batteries are sold.
You can change the battery while not wearing hence counting steps. Fitbit Zip Battery Change

My Charge Fitbit is not holding a charge. Yesterday it was dead within 1.5 hours. I have used the paperclip to try to reset without success. I am ready to throw in the towel so to speak.

You can put the software right, with a reset. Hardware errors and batteries won't change a bit when you use the reset button. When the battery is bad, and it looks that way, just return the Fitbit and ask for a new or new battery. It still should be under warranty. If the warranty is only 90 days for the battery, never again buy a Fitbit in the place you are living. In Europe electronics have a warranty of 24 months.
