Did you do a volt test on the power board? From the power board ribbon to the TV main board? The voltages are written down on the power board side. The standby power should be 3.3v or 5v. sound 24v main power 12vx2. Let me know.

You need to do some more diagnosing of the problem. If you get sound and change channels take a bright flashlight and place it again the screen. Look for an image around the edge of the flashlight.
If you see an image that means the LCD controller board (TCON) is probably good.
The problem is probably one of three causes;
1) Inverter board is bad
2) CCFT (cold cathode fluorescent light) are bad.
3) Power to the inverter board is bad. You can also check the connectors.

It would be a lot cheaper if you just replace the two caps that have gone bad. Just get a cheap solder pencil from the store and about an inch of solder and you are in business.
The Power Supply Board is the center Board (towards left) after you remove the back off the TV. Remove Board from TV with the 6-7 screws. Replace capacitors CM852 & CM853; 2200ufd 25volts.

No way to test the caps, now that is funny!
Bad caps can look normal but can have high ESR.
If the output voltages of the supply checked normal with out high AC ripples, than more likely to be other problem some where else.
