it has 2 blinks and then 1 blink. I did it twice to make sure it wasn't 2-2.

could a problem with the cable cause it? Our cable provider has been out and is coming again tomorrow due to fading in and out of the picture and a signal problem with the box that he supposedly fixed.

repair man came out, it needs a new power board, it is $6-700. If it had been around $300 we might have gotten it fixed, but think will look for an LCD.

two blinks and then one blink is error code for X-ray protection---means problem is most likely in the High voltage circuit of the set---the set will detect something is not right and shut down----a lot of possible causes for this----someone needs to go into it with a schematic and start looking for shorted parts in the High Voltage circuits.

set has self diagnostic feature; when it goes off press and hold Menu & Input(device) buttons on front of set for at least 5 seconds and then release both together---set will (power light) then blink a two digit code----ie: two blinks, a pause and two blinks is 2-2 which is the most common error on this set---let me know what you find and I will tell you what it means.

Tv wont turn on

hold the menu and input/device buttons for 5 seconds and it will blink you a 2 digit code
1-2 normal operation
2-3 i believe is short circuit protection = probably a convergence failure
here is a link to my tutorial

Green lite turns on for 2 second and then turns

Please listen and try this:

When the power light comes on and goes off, on the front of the set press BOTH the Menu and Input (Device) buttons at the SAME time and HOLD them both for at least five seconds and then release both.

The power light will blink a two digit error code and will repeat it about 5 times. To get it to repeat you would have to unplug the set and turn it on again etc.

The most common error is 2 blinks, pause, 2 blinks.

Let me know what error code you find and I will direct you as to what it means and what may have to be done.

TV WON'T TURN ON

You might have a bad power supply or convergence circuit, I also suggest you to check for fluid spill on the circuit board. if the convergence is defective one of the 5A picofues on the power supply is open. Hope this help you.
