How to connect dell laptop to samsung 29 inch tv using cable

precision m90 LAPTOP PC. 14 years old came with XP.


the screen is dead , does the monitor work on other PC?

fans in PC spin , heard or seen.?
step on ALL LAPTOPS remove the now very very old big battery now and test the LAPTOP with only the AC power pack as power.
work now/ ? yes, then buy a new battery.

next is the RTC coin cell ,none last 14 years either .

You have to take apart a good portion of the laptop to reach the Smart Card Reader spot. You need to turn off the computer, unplug the AC power and remove the battery first. Make sure that you are grounded to the computer. Then remove your optical drive and the hinge cover. Next you remove the mini-card antennas either from the mini-card or their secure spot, display assembly, the keyboard and the palm rest. Then you can reach the screw for the smart card reader and the place on the motherboard where the smart card reader connects.

If your Samsung TV has a VGA input then connect a VGA cable to the TV and the other end of this cable to the video port on your Dell laptop. Turn on your TV and select the VGA (computer) input then boot up your Dell laptop.and then the video data from the laptop will automatically divert to the TV.
You can toggle between the TV and laptop LCD screen by holding down on the Fn key and press the F8 key.

replace the vga port then recheck settings in your tv select pc option in the source. and then at the same time the output settings in the laptop which you are using another display.

This has to do with your video driver on your laptop that needs updating.
go to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Windows Update
download any updates from here.shutdown laptop, check the cable connection from laptop to tv then restart.
If still no luck try another hdmi cable

This tv have problems,with it tv Tuner signal board.Take it back,where u bought it get a tv replacement.

Go to Control Panel - Display - Settings - Advance - Monitor Tab change Monitor Type to Generic Television click Apply

Are you connecting the S-Video directly into the video output port of your laptop? S-Video 7pin? Video output port 7 pin too?

Is there an adapter for the video output port, for your laptop?

here u have to chek cable yr laptop is not support with a same s-cable u need to connecter for s-vadio to audio vedio connector and it's convort yr s-cable to comosite cable afer that it's automaticly dosply thru composet.... yeah one thing have to chek with different cable then selacet display propatise to set output setting is set in to s-video.. it's help u...:)
