SOURCE: programming the directv remote to program a sony audio receiver

Go through the process of setting up the remote again instead of trying the volume first use the power off button. In my experience, Sony receivers can be picky and power cycling "will" insure the code set, then try the volume.

SOURCE: can't program rc65 directv remote to control

I believe the codes 00001 and 00002 are valid for all DirectTV receivers.

Instructions for entering the codes are here.
Instructions for searching for the proper code if those two don't work, or for other devices, are here.
If you'd like a digital manual for your RC65, click here.

I hope that helps.

SOURCE: Ref: Motorola DCH3200 Problem with channel input.

Unplug the comcast digital box and wait 20 seconds or so, then plug it back it. I had the same problem and was given this solution and it worked. NOTE: the program guide will require at least 24 hours to "fill up" again. I was told that the problem is that the cpu in the digital box gets overloaded and needs to be rebooted/reset.

Hope this works for you

I am rescanning digital channels after cable change. It tells me no channel is available and defaults to 1-0. I tried hitting enter on the remote nothing help!

Do you see any glimpse of any program during the channel scan. If no, check the cable input connection for any loose contact. If the connection is found OK, the tuner of the TV might be defective.
If you can see glimpses of programs during the channel scan, and no received channels are stored after the scan process has been completed, the main system control memory IC of the TV set is faulty, and should be replaced.

Make sure you have some sort of digital receiver attached. If you are using an antennae, you need an HD convertor box. If you have the necessary components to recieve a signal, make sure your TV is set to recieve the signal for the correct input in your options section. THen retry scanning for channels.

Will not find digital tv stations

Hi,

I'll be glad to assist you in locating the digital channels in the TV.
Make sure that the Cable or Antenna Input is connected to the TV. The Cable and Antenna input can be connected to the VHF/UHF Input on the TV. The TV can search for the channels only if the VHF/UHF/CABLE input is connected to the TV. If you're connecting the Cable box or the Satellite Receiver to the Video or HDMI inputs on the TV, then it is not require to auto program the TV. Here, the auto program may be required in the cable box.
To Auto Program the TV, select the Manual Channel Search option from the Menu option and then select the CABLE, AIR or Digital Add-On option depends on the connection. The Digital Add-On option adds any new digital channels that are found to the Channel Scan Database.
This should resolve the issue. Please feel free to get back to us for further assistance.
Thanks for contacting FixYa.

My 47" LG has an internal HD reciever but it isn't picking up any HD channels.

Is it connected to an antenna? Did you do a channel scan for digital channels? See www.dtvanswers.com or http://dtv.gov/iguide.htm for more information.

I have a Direct TV box and just bought a Direct TV remote with RF antenna. I have attempted to program the remote to work in RF mode, but for some reason it's not accepting the programming. The remote...

Connect the supplied anttena on the reciever. Once you have done that, then:

1. dtv symbol device
2. press and hold MUTE & SELECT for two blinks
3. enter 9 6 1
4. press CH UP
5. enter the last 6 digits of the Receiver ID #, found on a sticker in the access card compartment
6. press SELECT

Now the receiver will accept both IR and RF, but the directv device on the RC32RF remote will only emit RF signals. The av1, av2, and tv are all still IR only.

How do I set my PT-44LCX65 up to receive broadcast HDTV signals.

You should use the auto-program function in the customer menu. It will prompt you to select which antenna input you wish to program and then ask if you are on cable or receiving signals via "air" or "broadcast" mode. Allow the TV to load all the channels. You may notice that the auto program mode may move along quickly during the addition of analog channels and that during the scanning of the digital channels that it may look like nothing is happening. Patience is a virtue here. Wait until it has completely scanned both analog and digital bands and you will recieve both versions of the station's signal. If, for example, you have a local channel 5, the digital version will be 5-1, and so on.

Good luck!
