Are you sure that your batteries are not just able to hold a charge? Flashing lights and slow motion are typical indicators.

Invacare M91 New Batteries Installed, Lights Up but Won't Move

The orange light on solid should signify it is charging. If the orange light flashes, you count the flashes and that is the error code

Spj-80, model 1122190. Why doesn't it move?

you may have a current rollback problem you will need to charge the Chair for 14hrs. with the Joystick on! This will reset the circuit. Charge with the joystick on! It is okay it won't hurt a thing, in fact from now on always charge with the joystick on.

Jazzy 614HD will not move. Lights flash from right to left, then cuts off. Unlock instructions are not effective. Chair is fully charged.

If chair has a tilt, recline or lift seat on it it may be going into lock-out mode on its own due to a limit switch fault. If you don't have any of these options then I suggest you remove the joystick, controller and any wire harness between the two and send them to a shop like mine for repair.
The usual lock out light chase is from left to right - not right to left so this is suspect of a different issue.

Wheel chair won't move. Batteries have been charging for several hours and have some charge but chair will not move.Any suggestions? Thanks

Romp, Did you check the freewheel levers chair will not move if you are in freewheel. Levers are in front next to seat posts and need to be facing forward. If you are not in freewheel then check the number of lights you have on on the joystick and that they aren't flashing. Also check that your speed control is not on the lowest setting even with some charge a slow speed setting will not let the chair move. Now by some charge you mean lights in the green on the joystick? If the lights aren't flashing then I'm kinda unsure other than even with some charge the batteries don't have enuf current to drive the motors and need to be replaced Hoe this helps

When switched on power light flashes.

How many flashes? Count number of flashes should be a slight pause then flashes the same number of times . Your manual will give you flash codes and you can determine what the problem is. If all the lights are flashing and there is no pause the chair could be in "lockout" Your manual should tell you how to get the chair out of lockout I think that Pride uses the joystick to get it out of this mode.. Turn the chair on move the joystick forward till you hear a beep then move the joystick to the rear until you hear another beep release the joystick and the lights should quit flashing Hope this helps

When turning power it makes a clicking sound but does not power up. battery charger has a red and green light on. When plugged in and turned on it flashes 8 times. I checked the power control connection,...

The chair will not move if the charger is plugged in. The flashes are normal with the charger plugged into the chair. The lights on the charger mean that the batteries have been fully charged. Red and yellow lights mean charging. After you unplug the charger from the chair (if off-baord charger, turn charger off or unplug from the wall) then unplug from joystick. after plug is removed from joystick press the on button and all the battery lights should be lit and when you move the joystick forward you will hear the electric bake release and the chair should move forward etc Hope this helps

Won't move pronto m51

Three lights flashing on your chair indicate a left motor fault. Make sure that all of the connections inside the shroud are tight by physically testing them. If all of the connections are good, and the fuses are good, then it's time for a trip to an authorized repair facility. Here is a link to the M51 owners manual if you haven't one. Page 24 has the fault code guide.
http://www.invacare.com/doc_files/1125085.pdf

The controller monitors all of the functions on the chair, brakes, motors, joystick, charger etc. The three flash fault indicates an "open" circuit. Open, like a switch or blown fuse is open, or a wire is cut or burned in half, or a connector is unconnected, or partially connected. The latter is what you are hoping for. Wires burned in half is the usual cause for a motor fault, and with powerchairs, is usually the result of the chair getting stuck in or against something it can't get out of and the operator over-amping the motors. Motors do, just go bad sometimes, for no reason. Very rarerly, however.

You can also check the brushes on the motor too. There's two quarter-sized black plastic screw-plugs on the ends of the motor opposite each other. Unscrew them and examine the brushes. The springy coils should be springy. Overheating can cause them to be brittle, or even burned in two. Check the lench of the brush, the dark rectangular cube at the end of the springs. It should be curved and polished at the end, and a little over a half-inch long. If it is near a 1/4 inch, it needs replaced, or if there is any evidence of overheating, replace. Good luck.

Problem with joystick on Jazzy 1103 ultra

You will need to take it in for repair. 8 bar flash usually means you have a bad joystick/controller. They can sometimes send it in to the manufacturer to have it repaired. Find a reputable dealer and relay this info to them.
