When I pour water into the machine to make coffee it leaks out the bottom of the machine. It appears to be coming from the section where the metal meets the black plastic on the bottom rim. The machine is leaking a lot of water when I pour it in, and takes a lot of towels to clean it up. It will make a pot of coffee but still leaks a lot of water. How can this be fixed?
If it leaks DURING brewing, you may have to decalcify it (aka, run through a cycle of 4 cups vinegar, fill to the top with water, 2-3 times and see if it helps).
If it leaks before you even start brewing a pot of coffee, something is broken on the inside of the coffee maker, and I would recommend contacting Waring--they may be able to get you a replacement coffee maker (and if you're under warranty, usually a replacement would be free!).
Their phone number (according to their website, www.waringproducts.com ) is 1-800-4WARING (1-800-492-7464)
Good luck! :)
