I have mx310 copier/printer/fax/scanenr. i can copy and print but it will not scan. any suggestions?

This is common, there are two possible things going on. Under print preferences try to set the margins to zero. If you are looking for an exact size copy then you need a copy button on the "all in one printer." If you are just looking for a size you can use without reduction then the second thing to do is to try and define the scan aria. Many HP scanners will do a pre scan, you can then move the dotted lines around to define the text aria and then scan to PDF or some other way to save it and then print.
If the scanner is not recognized try restarting it or varifing that you are on the same network.

My Cannon MX318 fails to receive and transmit faxes. It is working for normal printing, scanning and copying.The In Use/Memory light keeps flashing, even when the printer is disconnected from computer and/or from the telephone line. I checked and there is no memory in storage.Is there a way to reset the printer altogether?..please assist me..jack

If you are using the feeder in the top. The document you want to scan or copy should face up.

But if you are using the glass for copying or scanning, it should be face down.

When using the ADF load the document with the side you want to copy, fax or scan facing UP in the ADF.

When using the platen glass load the document with the side to be copied, faxed or scanned facing DOWN on the platen glass.

I cannot recieve a fax from memory, I have refilled B cartridge, Window display recomends new cartridge, I can make a copy in copy mode, this tells me cartridge is OK. my machine is a Canon

My scanned copies are all blurry, why?

B-CRT is just asking for a new black cartridge, fax will not print until it's replaced so you don't get a partial fax that you can't get back after printing.

If you are using only one incoming telephone line, you need tro reset your printer at 'fax priority' position onn your printer. An MX-typr handicap.

Hello sir; Either drum cleaning blade or drum cartridge needto replace.

there is no way to do that when i a fax is recieved through the printer. you could take the fax and then scan it and save a digital copy
