A

Try going to a urban area and scanning the NOAA band. if that works your programming is wrong and there is nothing wrong with your AM/FM base band. also the BNC antenna connector on the inside is notorious for breaking away from the board, nothing a little solder cant handle. Also make sure your local freq's are not Digital

Scanner not picking up local police-Fire freq

Do you still receive NOAA weather frequencies? Sounds like your local agencies have switched from simplex/standard frequency operation to trunking. I suggest you visit www.RadioReference.com to view the latest on active frequencies and systems in your area.

Problem with PRO-2066 scanner not receiving local 800mhz Motorola trunk system II. It does trunk with the current data channels used (showing the ---- line) but I only hear transmissions on freqs ending...

It is difficult to explain in simple terms but I will try.
Google rebanding.
Some radios can have their firmware updated but I don't think your PRO 2066 can.
Channel numbers and frequencies preprogrammed into your scanner have changed over the past few years.
When a data signal says go to channel X that channel is now Y, but your scanner is still looking for X
Hope this helps
