You did not say if you have connected the video out on the surround system to the video in on the tv. If not connect it and select that input on the tv.

SOURCE: my earbuds make it sound tinny

This sounds like the Earth part of the cable has become detached, perhaps at the plug end.

SOURCE: Honda Odyssey DVD player sound without the headphones

You can also buy inexpensive Infrared (IR) headphones for your Honda Odyssey from many sources including eBay, Amazon.com or http://www.audiovideo2go.com . Your dealer also has replacements that can be purchased directly from Honda. There are actually headphones that are lighter and smaller that will better fit smaller children.

What kind of accessories can I get for an ONN portable CD player?

Portable CD players typically have only a charging port and an audio, so the only "accessories" would be a charger (uses a mini-usb end) and either headphones/earbud or an external speaker. You can use a wireless Bluetooth speaker if you purchase a Bluetooth transmitter: Google (link to search for same)

How do I attach an MP3 player to the receiver? I have an Bose Accoustimass 15 attached and am using the AUX but only getting muffled sound from the sub-woofer and none of the speakers are working with this...

Try another source on AUX to prove the AUX works ok with all speakers.

Any iPod, smartphone or MP3 player at its most basic level is just an ordinary analog audio source.

For just listening, any audio device with a headphone/earbud output can be connected to any available analog Line Level input (except PHONO) with a simple adapter. They don't tell you that in the iPod manual because they want you to purchase expensive accessories like docking stations. You'll still have to control the music from the portable device. Oh well.

Your PC no doubt has a microphone input. Turn it on via sound controls in your PC.

Why would anything an iPod contains be bad for speakers?

You don't name any electronics so a specific answer is not forthcoming.

Not enough sound from the headphones.

Every time you add another set of headphones it will cut the power sent to each headphone down as the power is shared between all the headphones being used. If you need it louder simply use less headphones as the unit does not have enough power to run all 3 at the volume you desire.
