Using a Meridian M2616 spearker phone set when I want to interject a comment when using the hands free speakerphone many times the other party (or attendees on a conference call) cannot hear what I said. When I use the receiver instead of the speakerphone this does not seem to be the case and everyone can hear my entire comment.

You are picking up background noise as well as what you are trying to say. The mics are sensitive if you are moving papers or have a fan blowing that will cause the issue you have described

No, that was a drawback of the 44xx series phones. You should use a Polycom conference phone for a conference phone.

You have unheard messages on the voicemail system provided by your telephone company. This system records messages when someone calls while you're already on the phone. Please contact your telephone company for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.

Previous users name comes up on screen, how to get rid of his/hers and insert mine? Do you have a user manual for the m2616 meeridian?

Those 2 items are "mutually exclusive". Take your 2616 phone and plug it in somewhere else and you'll see why. Unless you have auto set relocation, you will, indeed, change the display name.

Programming is stored in the PBX, possibly an "Option 11c". http://www142.nortelnetworks.com/mdfs_app/techdoc/enterprise/cs1000/M125_40/pdf/NQZHZWQH.pdf

There is terrible static on all lines and the phone company states that it is our phone system. We have the Northstar Meridian M7324.

It sounds like a reboot of your system may be in order, When ever you have a system wide problem of this scope the main box on your wall is having trouble. power it down and power back up, this should fix it.

I have a Norstar Meridian with M7310 phones. When calling out using the speakerphone, the microphone doesn't work. When trying to switch to hands-free during a call, it puts the line on hold.

sounds like your telephones not programmed for handsfree.
Programming2.gif is done on 7310, 7324 and 7316 type sets.Enter programming2.gif by pressing the feature key followed by **266344.When prompted to enter the password enter 266344.
The screen should say TERMINALS&SETS. The 4 top line/feature keys are now used for programming.
At the terminals&sets prompt, press the show key (top right arrow). The display should now ask for an extension number. Enter extension number you want to change to handsfree.
Press the show key (top right arrow)
The display should say LINE ACCESS
Press the next key (bottom right arrow) .
The display should say CAPABILITIES.
Press the show key (top right arrow) .
The display say foward no answer.
press the next key 3 times (bottom right arrow)..
The display should say handsfree. Press the show key.(top right arrow) change from none to auto
Press the release key when finished

M2616 display problem dark screen not showing

If it is caused by an incorrect contrast adjustment YES you can fix it.
Press "Program", then "0", then "2", then slowly repeat the "Left Arrow Key" and the display should lighten and become visible again, once satisfied with the contrast setting, press "Program". If you lighten it to far, press the "Right Arrow Key" to darken it again. If this does not work, it is a hardware fault and not repairable by a user.
