Make sure to only thread the machine and needle with the presser foot raised.

SOURCE: bobbin thread bunches up creating a tangled mess under the plate

This could either be due to the bobbin being wound too loosely, or the tension on the top thread is too loose. This just happened to me the other day, and I thought it was the bobbin thread, but then I put another bobbin in with a different color than the top thread (this is a huge help in diagnosing thread issues), and I was surprised to find that it was actually the top thread that was a big loopy mess on the underside of the fabric. I fixed it by tightening the tension on the top thread (quite a bit), and everything was fine.

SOURCE: will not pick up bobbin thread

Unusual for this machine. Check to be sure the needle is inserted with the flat side to the back of the machine. If it is, remove the needle plate, bobbin and bobbin case. Turn the hand wheel slowly toward you and see if the point of the hook is above or below the eye of the needle when the hook point is aligned behind the needle. If the eye is above the point of the hook the machine is out of time and best taken to qualified technician.

What size bobbin does a Jonome 4014 use

Do you mean the Janome My Excel ME4014? If so, the machine uses class 15 bobbins. One source is https://www.sewingpartsonline.com/bobbins-janome-kenmore-elna-102261103.aspx? . There is also the Memory Craft 4014 which I think also uses the class 15 bobbins.

I hope this helps.

How do I draw up the bobbin thread on my janome 4400

According to the manual on page 12 it appears to be like most machines:
https://www.janome.com/siteassets/support/manuals/economy-models/inst-book-7318-english.pdf

If you are having problems it could be because there is an issue with your bobbin ... or worse case that somehow the timing is off and the hook is not catching the bobbin thread ... but usually that can make a big thread mess underneath

Machine will not sew its is looping under neath from top cotton

Remove the upper thread from your machine.

RAISE the presser foot and then rethread from the beginning. Raising the presser foot releases the tension disk so the thread will seat properly). Also, verify that the threading steps are correct (consult the threading instructions).

Check that the bobbin thread has been loaded in the bobbin case properly and threaded through the tension spring.

Test. If the upper thread is still showing under the fabric, tighten the upper tension disk until the upper and bobbin threads meet in the middle of the fabric.

How do you expose thereverse switch Janome Excel 4023

This is a symptom of winding the bobbin to tightly with a stretchy thread (poly or nylon). I would break bobbin to remove it rather than risk damaging machine

How do you fill the bobbin

there should be a bobbin winder on the top of the machine, that when you move it into position stops the needle from going up and down, but instead when you use the pedal it turns to wind the bobbin thread on

The fabric keeps getting pulled down into the machine when trying to stitch. I've tried to change the needle, clean the lint and rethread the machine.

try these suggestions
1.make sure the needle is in the needle holder correctly
2.check to see if the needle is in backwards
3.make sure the thread is not slipping off the take-up lever
4.check to make sure the bobbin is not warped
5.check for lint in & around the bobbin case
6.check for loose thread in or around the bobbin case
