check the fixing film sensor and make sure that all the wiring and the connectors are connected securely.

You need to disassemble the printer and check - Carriage unit - check for any jam. - Timing slit film - there should be some gresse on the film. - Logic board - only if you are a service tech. - Carriage motor - only if you are a service tech.
Canon fuser technology is hp laser printer system. This copier has a fuser film or eleventh cover. Some times its torn or short then this machine say E007.Its an error code. When occurred this E007 you should defective film.
hi;

good luck
I asked around and this error ..its also instruct you to turn off and on the printer ..it is a warning for an obstruction in the printing process ...most of the times the obstruction having mechanical origins..So look around for sliding parts and in general parts that suppose to move in a certain pattern and now are blocked or not well lubricated or something is blocking them ..
The error E007, is a common error for digital copiers, B&W segment. It means that fixing film on fixing heater is worn out.To be exact: on left side of fixing film on heater is little white square. With help of this square, photo sensor knows the condition of fixing film.If this square is "eaten", the sensor does not recognize it and automatically reports error code E007.
Your next step should be to replace fixing film. For EU region, or 230V and 50Hz current, the part number is FM2-3353 FIXING FILM ASSY.
In case of mild worn fixing film, you can try to turn off and on the copier, and get few more copies.
If the copier has over than 500 000 copies, the best solution would be to replace the whole fixing unit. For EU region, the part number is FM2-3352.
The condition of fixing film you can check with pocket mirror and flash light. Open the left door, above the drum unit (long green roller) is fixing unit which have warning heat lable.Place the pocket mirror under left side of fixing unit, and you should be able to see the damadged fixing film. Also if the fixing is so badly eaten, on left door should be particles of light brown color.
Thanks for using FixYa. Error E007 means there is a jam in the Fixing/Fuser Assy.
Error E007 is related to a non-detection of the Fixing Film/Upper Roller, the
fixing film sensor didn’t detected the rotation of the film for 6 sec or more
while the fixing motor is driven. Please check the condition of your Film also
check the green handle in this area for paper jam removal if it is broken or
removed, may also cause this error. If everything is fine then try clearing the
error by entering the service mode, you can do it by pressing *(star), then
press 2 and 8 keys at the same time & then press *(star) again.
Now press COPIER>FUNCTION>CLEAR>ERR, to clear the
error code.
Please do rate the solution and revert for further assistance.
