Test the songs that are not playing on the iPod in iTunes and see if the original file is still playable on iTunes if the song still plays re-sync your iPod could be when iTunes copied the song it must have failed or timed out, if that fails re-syncing try restoring you iPod Nano i have had this problem before and I just re-synced and it worked fine

How Do I Download Songs Onto My iPod Nano?
IPod Nanos are portable multimedia players that allow you to playback songs and other content (e.g. video) no matter where you go. They come in a variety of memory sizes such as 4GB or 16GB (gigabytes) and work with iTunes to upload songs. ITunes is the iPod default management program which allows you to upload songs to its library, create playlists and sync music on your iPod quickly and easily. This simple process will have you jamming to your favorite songs in no time.

Downloading to an iPod Nano1Connect your iPod Nano to the computer using the USB cable. Launch iTunes if does not automatically launch. When you launch iTunes, it will display your iPod Nano on the left panel.
2Add music to your iTunes library. Click the "File" button on the top menu and click "Add to Library." Locate the song you want to upload to your player and click "Open" to load it to your program.
3Click the "+" button on the lower left panel to create a playlist. Type a name for the playlist and drag the uploaded file to it. To upload additional songs, repeat Step 2 and drag the uploaded additional songs to the created playlist.
4Drag the songs in the playlist up or down to select the order in which the songs will play.
5Sync your iPod Nano. Click the iPod icon on the left panel after importing songs and adding them to the created playlist. Click the "Music" tab and click "Sync music." Click "Select playlists, artists and genres" and select the playlist you created that contains the songs you want to upload. Click "Apply" to automatically sync and download the songs to your iPod Nano.
6Click the "Eject" button and disconnect your iPod from the computer.

Tips & Warnings
Click "Music Store" if you want to purchase a music file. Search for the song on the iTunes store and download it to the iTunes library.

Apple Ipod Nano does not play songs

It could be that the Format type is not supported. Like OGG isnt supported. I would look into using a different OS on it like Podzilla or RockBox

8GB ipod nano will not play songs

Try resynching your IPOD with Itunes on your computer then try to play again. If that does not work please respond and we can try another option. Also after you synch try the update option on Itunes as well that could fix any problems on the sofware side of your IPOD.

Ipod nano

I have had good experiences with this

http://www.getsharepod.com/

SharePod should allow you to upload music from your iPod to your new computer even though your old computer no longer functions properly

If you have iTunes installed on your new computer, do NOT click yes when you plug it in and it asks if you want to format it. Formatting = BAD if you haven't backed up your iPod yet. To use the iPod with your new computer you will need to eventually format it, but not until you back up your stuff...

Hope I helped :)

Ipod - one at a time?

Absolutely!

Simply go into the "Settings" from the main menu and go into repeat. When the selection bar is over repeat, simply click the "Select" button to make it go to "Song". This will let that song repeat.

Sorry if this is wrong, but this works on my Video iPod and I don't believe that there is a difference between their settings.

Unfortunately I don't think there is a way to have it stop after the song unless it is the only song in the album. If this is the case, setting the repeat setting to "Off" will make the iPod play only that song by navigating to that album and selecting the only song there. NOTE THAT THIS DOES WORK!

Good luck!

My ipod won't play songs I bought from itunes, and it won't let me download new ones.

Unfortunately, if you did not back up your music, the songs cannot be recovered. iTunes allows for one download of a song purchased.
