If the cubes keep sticking, they are probably too small which is caused by too little water presure to the frig. You need 30 pounds PSI to frig so make sure there is no RO system connected to it. Thaw the ice and start again.

Why does my control panel show er 1f

Had the same problem with my Kenmore Elite Series Refrigerator. Upon searching for the answer the closest and simplest answer was a faulty fan specific to the ice maker compartment. This fan is suppose to regulate the humidity in the ice maker, but sometimes the humidity becomes too high and that causes the fan to freeze. (A tell tell sign is when your Ice Maker shoot freezes up, or water begins to drip from the Ice Maker and puddles up in the catch tray or on the floor in front of the Refrigerator). When the fan becomes frozen, that causes the 1F error display to come on. There was also a second reason that was consistent with a faulty circuit board, but that did not match as closely as the faulty fan.
Most answers directed you to replace the fan...but I gave this a try first, and by the way my option has solved my problem fan for over two years now. Simply .. open the refrigerator door and turn the Ice Maker off. Then take the ice tray out and dump any remaining ice and clean and dry off the tray and the ice shoot that the ice drops through into your glass. Leave the Ice Maker off for 3-5 days, giving the fan enough time to thaw and dry out. You will have to live with the inconvenience of no Ice Maker for that amount of time .. but you can do that rather than paying an enormous fee to have it serviced in home (unless you're still under warranty). After 3-5 days has expired simple turn the Ice Maker back on. If by any chance this doesn't work..try it a second time but leave the Ice Maker off 5-7 days. Honestly, this should solve the problem. Mine is still working flawlessly. God Bless

I need to thaw the ice that is in my ice maker (Kenmore Elite, 106.56709500), how do I do this? Can I just remove it?

Just get a new ice maker on cheap on ebay since the heating element (for ice removal) on tray will cost more than a new maker!

My icemaker stopped working and it's leaking inside.what could be the problem?

check the fill tube to the ice maker and make sure it is not froze up or obstructed...when the ice maker calls for water there is a tube that comes into the ice maker and often will have residual water that can eventually freeze and make a mess the next cycle and so forth... also make sure the ice maker it self has not developed a hole in it...this is metal and water we are dealing with very possible to happen over time and start leaking through front control etc......good luck to you hope you get it fixed........please vote....

My ice marker will not stop making ice the arm

This problem is going to be the ice maker itself. The arm you are talking about is the shut-off mechanism for the ice machine. Just before the ice machine starts to make ice, the arm slowly rises. Then the arm falls down, if there is ice blocking the arm from falling all the way down it will not make ice because there is plenty! If the arm is able to fall down completely, the ice machine will make ice like normal. If your ice maker is making ice regardless of the arms position, something is wrong with the ice maker. Depending on who replaces this, it could cost anywhere from $100 to $200.

Ice Maker problem

Apparently lowering the temperature by 5 degrees in the freezer compartment will keep the input water tube from freezing. It is working fine now!
