SOURCE: Date/Time stamp
HI everyone I was reading your coments and actually in order to put the Date and Time stamp on the pictures, you will need to Use the Picture Motion Software that came in the Installaiton CD of the Sony Cybershot camera. There is no other way to put the date on a picture with a Sony camera.

Set the resolution to PostageCard (1600x1200).
Many of these cameras have only ONE RESOLUTION setting which allows you to have a date/ date and time stamp on the file, which will print on the viewed or printed photo.
How to do it:
Turn the camera on M mode.
Use the func. set.
go down the menu to the resolution settings. (on the bottom of menu).
Pick only the postagecard (1600x1200) setting.
I also was like you, and had an awful time with a camera I was fixing. I then looked it up on the Net and found an online user manual for the Canon SD 500, which should be basically the same.

When you turn on your camera, press the menu button. That will bring up the screen that has the orange buttons at the top (Capture) (Setup) arrow down using the buttons on the far right side. The down button will be the dame button that you use to delete pictures with. When you get to the botton of the page continue arrowing down and that will bring up another page. Arrow down until you get to the botton there are only 3 items on this page and the bottom item will say the following:
Date imprint ON
Press your enter button (ok button) and up will pop ON or OFF.
Arrown down to the OFF and press enter and that will remove the date imprint from your pictures.
Hope this helps you.
