SOURCE: Flip open sounds?
If the phone made sound when it was opened in the first place you could possibly do it, but since it does not, I do not believe it can be done. However when my wife calls the "Red Alert" sounds. It can be heard in the bar with a lot of noise. This is not really a "problem." I would check on a site that does mods to the phone.

there is a ribbon cable that connects to the main board that needs to be replaced the best thing to do is to have the radio sent off since the is tedious sodering involved unless you know how to repair these thing its pretty easy is to good of a head unit to go to waste the part cost about 33.00 including shipping go to pioneers web site and get the 800 number

Most likely a flex cable. The flex cable runs through the hinge. It is a high fail item. I used to replace 20 a week. Check to see if you can find a flex cable online. You will also need a small torx driver. I cant remember the size.

Moto RAZR phones are notorious for this. Best thing to do - Get a new phone. Inside of the hinge, there is a sensor that detects if the phone is open or shut. When you open the phone, it still thinks its closed, so the screen stays white, and if im correct the outside display should still work. Pretty much not-fixable unless you know someone who can take it apart and re-position the sensor (will void the warranty)

By default, it's set to "any key" which means when you press any key on the keypad, calls will be received. If it's then go to call settings and set the answer options to "any key" and save the settings.
