How do you change the ip address on the 30h4054

I read the previous solution about taking the printer back to the original place and changing the address prior to moving the printer. Printer was originally in Vancouver and now in Ontario. This solution is too expensive. Any other suggestions?

For help setting the address for a network printer, see articles here and here.,and possibly here. Beyond that, I'm not familiar with that print server. Perhaps this will help.
We probably need more info about the system, printer, OS, etc.

SOURCE: I have a 30H4054 and need to change the IP address

After moving to a new location that had a new IP address, I found I was unable to change the IP address within the 30H4054 so we took the printer back to where it was installed and working before and someone changed the IP address there then brought it back to my new location. So ....have the IP address changed before you move.

you have a new ip address.

Method 2
It's simple to change the Ip-address..You can reset the modem or switch for a minute and the switch on it..Check the ip-address at www.ip-details.com if your ip address changed .It's Dynamic ip address ....You can change it many times by resetting the modem...Before changing check your previous ip ,so that you can know the difference. This is will not work if your ip address is a static ip address...Static ip will not change even if you reset the modem.

Method 3:
You can use proxy server or hide ip address software to change the ip address...But it's not legal to hide ip address always. It helps to hide your ip address from hackers..So whenever you need you can hide ip..Don't hide ip address always. You can also display your ip from Canada using proxy, even if you are in USA.

IP configuration

You can set three IP parameters from the printer control panel. The available parameters are:
  • IP Address
  • Subnet Mask
  • Gateway (optional)
The procedure for changing any of the parameters is the same. The procedure for changing the IP Address is given here as an example. Use the same procedure for the other IP parameters.
  1. Make sure the printer is on and paper/ribbon is loaded.
  2. Press the PAUSE key to place the printer in the OFFLINE mode.
  3. Unlock the Front Panel. (DOWN Arrow + ENTER keys at the same time.)
  4. Press the MENU key until the LCD displays "ETHERNET ADDRESS."
  5. Press the DOWN arrow key to access the first segment of the IP address to be changed. (Or press DOWN arrow again to scroll through the Subnet and Gateway segments.)
  6. Press the + (plus) or - (minus) keys to change the segment.
  7. Press ENTER to make the selection. An asterisk appears to the right of the value.
  8. If other IP address segments need to be changed, go to step 5.
  9. When Finished the [Pause] key twice to go ONLINE. This burns the IP information into the printer.
The ethernet configuration is global to the printer, and takes effect immediately.

My printer says offline and files are in the queue

This issue occurs due to the change in IP address of the unit (Most of the IP addresses are Dynamic and it may change time to time. So the computer is unable to locate the previously set IP address and this leads to a message printer offline). I request you to set a static IP address for your printer and verify the result.

the ip address for the other two computers might have changed... you need to go into the scanner via the IP address of the scanner and change the IP address for the scan to pc folders destination list to the new one for both computers... or change the ip address to the pc name... pc name may work... but IP address will...

BROTHER MFC 420CN WILL NOT PRINT FROM LAPTOP

I had the same problem and what I found was that the IP address I used did not agree with the IP address stored in the printer. You can find the IP address using the setup TCP/IP option from the menu button. I changed the IP address in the TCP/IP port properties and it worked. I don't know how it changed, but I suspect the IP changed because of a conflict. When I turned the laptop off the IP went back to the original one that I had been using.

Revised IP address for Ricoh 2020d

Go to user tools counter. Go to settings. Go to interface. You should see the IP address settings window. Some Ricohs have auto DHCP. Usually I turn that on to get it to recognize your router. Make sure your gateway address is inserted as well.
