Not knowing the make & model of your laptop can only suggest you try to do a system restore. Assuming laptop is running Windows XP, do the following...
1. on the bottom left of the desktop, click on the start button
2. on the start window, hover cursor over All Programs
3. on the All Programs window, hover cursor over Accessories
4. on the Accessories window, hover cursor over System Tools
5. on the System Tools window, click on System Restore
6. on the System Restore window, click radio button to set to Restore my computer to an earlier time
7. then click on the Next button at the bottom of the System Restore window
8. on the Select a Restore Point window, click on a bold date prior to your mistaken uninstall date
9. with the bold date for the Restore Point selected, click on the Next button at the window's bottom
10. on the Confirm Restore Point Selection window, confirm your date by clicking the Next button.
Thanks for asking FixYa for help. My name is Jeff and I will be assisting you today. You said that the computer is only 1 month old? It is still under warranty then. Take it back to the store for
refund or exchange. You shouldn't be having this kind of problem with a new computer.

Make sure you have the latest version of itunes on your comp & power up comp & itunes
-power off your phone -hold
down the home button (around 6secs) then insert USB cable while still
holding button then release button when cable plugged in -itunes will then bring up message saying that the phone has been detected in recovery mode - it will then give you choice to restore your iphone -continue
with this choice & restore your phone as a new iphone, this will wipe everything from the phone including the passcode. I have pasted a link below if you get confused with the restore
firstly, hold down your home button (circle one on front) and you power button ( at top) for a few seconds and see if the phone flashes off then back to the apple logo and should hopefully load to home screen.
If that doesnt work, load up itunes on your comp and insert USB cable - not phone just yet- then on the phone hold the power button until phone powers off, then hold down the home button (circle one) for a few seconds then connect your USB cable and you should see what looks like itunes symbol and USB on the phone screen you should then receive a message on itunes saying that a phone has been detected in recovery mode then continue through itunes to restore your iphone (as new as your old software will cause the problem again) . This should solve your problem, although if you have had your phone "jail broken" then it may have affected the handset and you'll have trouble gettin it working again if at all.
Use your restore disk, or if you have a Windows OS disk, bootup with that. When you see the screen that gives you an option to "Repair Windows" hit the "R" key. You will be taken to a DOS prompt. Choose the Volume you want to repair (Usually number 1) then it will prompt you for an Administrator password. If you have never put one on the system, simply hit Enter. The it will take you to "C:\Windows" Type in the following... "CHKDSK /R" (without the quote marks and hit Enter. Let chkdsk utility see if it can repair the volume. It will prompt you when it is finished.
I just got done repairing one today with this same problem. You will need to restore the software. To do this we need to put the phone in recovery mode. With the phone powered off, press and hold the home button while connecting the usb cable to the computer. Continue holding it and you should get a image of itunes logo and a usb cable.Once you see the image release the home key. After that just open itunes. It will tell you that you need to restore. Just follow the on screen instructions and it should have you back up and running.
You can perform a manual search.
Press and hold TV,SAT,DVD or VCR until the centre light blinks red.
While it is blinking press 0000
The flashing will speed up.
Press the power button repeatedly - it will cycle through all codes.
When your device turns off (powers off) press the okay button.
It should now power on and off correctly.
Check the other buttons to see if everything works.
If it does not start the process again - it will hit another code which will also power down the device - takes a long time but should work - manual states it may take 20 mins - practise says longer
