67" rear projection Mitsubishi....

For the past year, the tv would work great one day, the next the picture would only work on 1/2 the screen... The next day the whole picture would come back but be really wavy... The next day the picture would be perfect again...

NOW... I don't have any picture. Push the power button and the little green light comes on (steady) and no picture at all.....no flicker or anything...

Suggestions?

Sounds like a cold solder joint, turn the main pcb over and see if you find any cracked solder or where the solder looks like it got hot.

    I guess i would have a service repair guy come out and look at it.
    you could tap on the board but you could cause more damage. and there is high voltage in there set!

TV screen goes black, sometimes for hours

This model series had a odd problem that caused this. It was the Hoizonal wire connctors for the yoke. If my memory serves me right, the Yoke wire harness went from Yoke to Yoke and plugged in at the casing of each yoke. What I found is the solder connection on the small board of each Yoke was intermitent. Please be careful if you choose to tackle this. It is in a HV Area.
Hope this helps,

Mitsubishi ws65613 no picture or sound, blue screen only

Good Day;
Blue screen that has gotten worse over the past few days, I would suspect fluid on your signal board.
The three CRT's in the TV has coolant that tries to keep them cool but they have a problem with the 'glycol' leaking out of it's chamber.
Take speaker grill off, remove panel and look on the right side of opening. Look for fluid on the board, shinny substance, it's hard to see so look closely. That is the most common problem.
2&3 are the CRT's or the CRT's drive circuit.
Good Luck, Day,let me know, Big Irish.
