Hi Ramon, as you say, the protection circuit is working, you would have a problem in the power supply or in the audio outputs of speakers
I suggest you disconnect, all the speakers and test if the fault continues, if it does not continue, connect the speakers one by one and test until the possible fault is detected
If you disconnect and stay the same, I suggest you look for a specialized technical service
If you have knowledge and technical expertise, I give you the link to download the service manual of your Pioneer
I hope you can solve the problem

any pre-out should work. i believe the bose have a rca jack connector for attaching to the receiver. look at the new receiver connection diagram. any output that is rca designed for use by a recording device will send a signal that the 901's can see.
always check the manual on both before connecting for any precautions.
good luck

I've had the same problem for over a month and have yet to find the time to get to it. However, I there may be a fuse on the circuit board that needs to be replace. That's just my guess.
Hope it's the solution.

Had a power surge last night and got the same problem. Unit wont power on and has a blinking blue light on standby button. I found the solution from the service manual for a similar model.
Hold down ENTER and ADVANCED SURROUND buttons.
This resets the DC overvoltage sensor and bingo the unit comes back to life again.

Hello,
Unfortunatelly your receiver has failed. The front panel is telling you one of the power modules is probably bad. Not an DIY type of repair. These parts are near $40.00, plus cost of replacing.
Look at options to replace your trusted receiver with a new one.
Good luck
