1)try this out this may be usefull for you

*#3370# - Enhanced Full Rate Codec (EFR) activation. Increase signal strength, better signal reception. It also help if u want to use GPRS and the service is not responding or too slow. Phone battery will drain faster though.
*#3370* - (EFR) deactivation. Phone will automatically restart. Increase battery life by 30% because phone receives less signal from network.

2)there might be the problem with service provider try to change your service provider and check it out.

Nokia n70 does not show 3g icon

The 3G icon appears only when you are in 3G reception area and you are receiving 3G signal.
Ensure that you are in the 3G reception area and signal is received .some areas there may be weak signal it may also cause to select Gsm mode

My nokia 6300 does not pick signals in office and while its in pocket..but works perfect at home with all bars..otherwise it just shows 1 bar and its hard to talk...

First remove the Simcard from the phone, test the SIM card on a different phone, and see if you get same reception problem in the office. If the problem depends on the phone, then internal aerial contact is broken, get a replacement phone . If problem depends on the SIM , then call the phone company, it may be a network problemt, or a reception problem because this company has poor field in the office area.

GPS Weak or no reception

Goto Nokia.com and see if there are any software upgrades for you phone. If it is needed, install Nokia PC Suite as well if there are any needed. Purchase a USB cable as well for your cell phone if you don't have one already.

Nokia 6300 doesn't start

dear spjust and zippo2008,
i think your phone battery is weak. so change the battery and try to start your phone.if still problem exists cont your nearest service center. If your phone is under warrenty period then don't try anything. Just go to your nearest service center and tell your problem.. But i think the problem is with your battery..
