Hi pavrj2003,

Have you put the switch into internal setting and tried? And, have you set the SAP off and switched the audio to stereo?

If you are sure the settings are correct and still no audio it may be a defective audio system internally. If so, it will require a tech to test it out. If the audio control system is not functioning properly (no mute and no volume indications) you may need an IC replacement. This could cost a fair amount; $150 or higher (plus the house call).

It is possible the audio went defective during the move. Sometimes a few whacks with the fist over a few places on the cabinet will wake up a bad connection or errant solder joint that was deactivated during transit.

Also, try the speaker switch again on the back panel; switch it a few times to burn through any corrosion that might have built up over the years.

best regards,
Jazerblue

Why does the volume on my tv change up or down when I change channels

I believe that everyone experiences this. It is done by the network on purpose. I believe that there is a setting in most tv's to adjust the volume so that it doesn't happen. Every TV is different though but it is worth a look.

Low volume on tv remotes up full tv freeview and booster still no good

Hello
If volume of the TV doesn't rise up as its volume is increased with remote control handset, and the volume indication bar runs full, the fault is with the TV itself. Either its speaker may be damaged or its audio output section has some trouble with it. Check its speaker first for damage. Connect an other good speaker in place, and you can check it by yourself. If the speaker is good, the audio output ciruit should be traced for fault.
Here you haven't given any details about your TV. Its Model number Brand Name etc: Eventhough you have given all these details to me, you must have a sound knoledge in electronics, and must have all tools with you to go forward with its inside circuit. OK.

Hi Strange problem with Marantz pm7001 When ever I turn the volume upto around 1/3 and 1/2 of the way, the amp cuts out and reset it self down to minimum volume. It seems like the amp ins't enough power...

What's probably happening is that the amplifier is shutting down or cutting back the volume as protection from damage. You may have a partial short in the speaker wiring that is not a problem at lower levels, but at higher ones causes the amp to see too low a load. There may a problem with a speaker or crossover component that is breaking down at higher volumes. Or something in the amp's output stage is unable to handle the load.

Test the system with a known good speaker system and length of wire and see if the trouble continues. If it does, you'll know it's the amplifier that needs to be checked. If the test speakers can reach normal volume, you can start checking the wiring and other speakers for the source of the trouble.

My Aiwa Colour TV, model No. TV-A2019, has developed audio problems. 1. The audio output from the speaker is high even when volume is set at level one. Audio output is constant for volume level 1 to...

You just come aroung the sound decoder section of your tv. Decoder problems may cause the fult you pointed out. Since all the controls are electronically controlled, and all are through sound decoder, which converts sound to stereo the problem must be there. Since sound comes from two channels are ok, there is no problem around sound output. Check for some soldering loose contact, wire socket loose cotanct also.

No volume

On the back of your set there are 2 switches that tell the tv whether you are using the internal speakers or the external speakers.
Make sure the switches are set to internal so the speakers in the TV receive the sound signals. If they're set to internal maybe the internal speakers are bad. Set the switches to external and hook up external speakers to the speaker terminals on the back of the TV. If neither setup works then it sounds like an output transistor or related parts.

I have an Harman kardon receiver (avr 310) it only plays in left and rigth speaker with surround off . I try everything to make it work in other but it can't .

Surround only works from a surround source such as Pro Logic.
If you are useing a regular stereo source with surround off, the sound will come only from L/R speakers (and sub woofer if used)
