How do I change the ribbon ink thing in my works Epson LX 300?

LX 300 first came out in the 90's. If the ribbon cartridge was changed, and if the ribbon has adequate ink, then sad to say your 9 pin printer head is worn out. will need replacing.

If you are referring to Epson Stylus NX115 you might be referring to cartridge not ribbon. For Ink cartridge replacement instructions. You may try the link provided below:

i dont think they even support this older printer. try using a print spooler

hi...this is catridge problem.

the catridge may be about to finish and the mixing is not properly taking place.
the outlet from the catridge may be blocked so reqired amount of ink is not flowing out from it.

please change the catridge it wil be fine

make sure the knb level is set to 0 there is adjustment of head and roller distance .just adjust the lever .

Hi, Epson LX300 printer only works with Black Fabric Ribbon Cartridge... it will only printer in Black or the color of ink that ribbon have.

first pls remove the power cable after >Open the top plastic lid. > Slide the printer head to the middle of the printer. > Pull the printer cartridge up and out evenly.

The mask stops this sort of problem and the print head could do with cleaning so that the pins don’t get stuck. The ink coagulates over the years and causes the pins to jam and eventually tear up ribbons of just burn up the driver coils in the head assembly. The head face needs cleaning with a cotton bud or two or three with isopropyl alcohol to remove all the ink residue from the pins and shafts. If you can remove the head assembly this is much easier to do.

puchase a new ribbon cassette (widely available on the internet)when it arrives, lift the printer cover,remove the old cassette (just lifts out ) pay particular attention to where the little piece of exposed ribbon slots into. locate the small exposed piece of ribbon on the new cassette into the slot carefully then click the cassette over the drive cogs (just like playing an old topload video cassette)
