Car amp re conecting the the battery

Do you have all wires hooked up? Fuse good?

to hook up the amp. drill a hole in the firewall, run an 8 or greater gauge cable (greater, depending on the wattage of the subwoofer amplifier) from the battery positive lead, thru the firewall, to the amp power +, and be sure to place an in line fuse within the engine compartment, within a foot of the battery. hook the speaker up, and then run the amplifier negative lead to a bare metal part of the cars chasss, and, finally, hook the amplifier remote power lead to the acc circuit of the interior fusebox (i usually just take the acc fuse out, stick the wire in the acc fuse receptacle, then re-insert the fuse to complete the circuit).

to run the radio signal to the amp, you can use a speaker to line level converter (if stock stereo). just splice them into the stock stereo speaker leads

The stereo should have RCA pre-outs (line out - red and white). It might have a setting in the menu that turns the line-out on and off, so check for that as well. Run a cable from those outputs to the RCA inputs on your amp. Make sure your amp has power and is grounded properly (the 'remote' cable on your stereo should attach to the 'remote' or 'p.con' terminal on your amp. Hook up your speakers to the amp. Check the level setting on your amp if it has one (make sure it's not turned too far down or up). Check the fuse. Fire it up.

That's it. You need a stronger battery. Ideally a separate battery hooked up parallel to the original, with an upgraded alternator, and capacitor. That is pretty pricey, so if it won't work with the car running, first check wire size. The bigger the better. Bigger wires lose less voltage over distance. Try swapping out the battery for a bigger one, like the one in the car that the amp worked in. Then add capacitor.

You probably blew a fuse. The power wires for a stereo can not handle the current an amp needs. An amp has to get it's power directly off the battery. Get an amp kit that has the power wire, ground wire, turn on lead, and fuse w/fuse holder. fuse the power no less than 12" from the battery.

If this is new out of box make sure you have 12volts to the amp turn on wire. You should have constant 12volt + to the battery terminal 12volt- to the ground and 12volt + from the head unit (radio) to the amp The turn on wire on most car stereos is a thin blue wire. run this wire to the amp's terminal and when you turn on the radio the amp should turn on.

the best way to conect ur stereo shud have electric tester always find the positive and the negetive in the car wires its mostly black -,red + once those conected to the stereo last but not least the blue remote wire for memorie thoes 3 conected set shud turn on and if it dnt u may have burnd out ur fuse check ur car fuse stereo fuse!

okay , well you need to make sure all your conections are in the right spots, and that your IN LINE FUSE, between your amp and battery, the big glass one is not burnt, just take a look at the metal piece inside , if its a sold metal piece its good, if its burnt in half like a broken bridge it needs to be replaced. the next thing is the fuse on your amp, you need to make sure it is not burnt also. Check your remote that it is hooked up to the right wire. then check that your sub/speaker wires are connected properly and secure. YOUR GROUND WIRE IS HUGE HERE also. MAKE SURE IT IS GROUNDED TO A GOOD SPOT, YOU MAY HAVE TO MOVE IT AROUND A FEW TIMES TO FIND A GOOD GROUND!!!! if you check all of these things, it should work fine.. you can fiddle with your amp and bass settings levels. turn em up so when it works you know it, but not too much you dont wanna blow nothing :)

Your amp as nothing to do with your car runnig bad. Your engine has a problem. It's miss fireing may be do to bad coil or even spark plugs or spark wires
