Connecting Bluetooth audio surround sound - Audio Players & Recorders

You can't reset the Bluetooth device, you remove the connections from the devices connected to it, smartphone televisions etc. On the device click the Frisby and then click 'Forget Device'. To reset a remote, you just remove the batteries for a while.

Follow these steps to troubleshoot if there is no sound or intermittent sound from the speakers.
IMPORTANT: Not all of these features and/or functions are available on all products. Consult the instruction manual that came supplied with your unit to verify if your particular unit has these features, or if more detailed information is required to perform any of the steps below.
NOTES: Click on the appropriate link below if the issue is occurring with a particular device or connection.

• If you are connecting a computer to the audio system follow this general information about connecting an A/V component to a computer.
• If the sound issues are occurring when using a Bluetooth wireless device, refer to this additional information.
• If the sound issues are only occurring when using the audio device with a TV, refer to this additional information.
• Because each of these steps represents a possible solution to this issue, check the sound status after completing each step.

1. Make sure the MUTE function has not been activated.
2. Try turning up the volume level.
3. Check that there are no headphones connected.
4. Try setting the Audio/Video (A/V) receiver to a different Surround Sound mode.IMPORTANT: Verify that the source you are playing is encoded with Surround Sound audio. If not, the audio will be very difficult to hear using a Surround Sound setting. Set Surround Sound to OFF when playing a source that is not encoded with a Surround Sound signal.
5. Check each speaker to make sure they are properly connected to the A/V receiver.
6. Perform a Test Tone function to verify if the speakers are working correctly.
7. Verify all external audio sources are securely connected to the appropriate inputs on the A/V receiver. NOTE: If the audio is being sent from a television to the A/V receiver, then it may be necessary to disable the internal speakers of the TV or set the audio output of the TV to FIXED or VARIABLE. If the audio output of the TV is set to VARIABLE, then you will need to increase the volume level of the TV.
   
8. Make sure the correct audio input is selected on the A/V receiver.
9. Confirm what type of HDMI® devices are connected to the A/V receiver and then check the following:
   
   
   1. Test each one of the HDMI inputs on the A/V receiver to confirm that all of the inputs for the A/V receiver are working.
   2. Try a couple of different HDMI cables to verify there is not a bad set of cables.
   3. Unplug the video source from the A/V receiver and connect the source directly to the television. If there is still a problem with the audio, continue to the next step. If connecting the source to the TV corrects the sound issue, service will be needed on the A/V receiver. NOTE: Additional troubleshooting steps are available to troubleshoot instances when the audio, video, or both goes out when using an HDMI connection.
      
10. Verify the DEMO (demonstration) mode is not active.
11. Change the ATT (attenuate) setting. NOTE: The procedure to change the ATT feature varies by model.
    
12. Reset the A/V receiver back to factory specifications.

The troubleshooting steps listed above should resolve your issue. If you have completed all of the steps and the issue is not resolved, service may be required.

TRY CONNECTING THE RCA JACK (RED,WHITE) AUDIO
INPUTS. MY GUESS IS THAT IT WILL WORK THAT WAY,
AND IF IT DOES CHECK ALL AUDIO SETTINGS ON BOTH
AMP & TV PCM digital audio / LPCM digital audio (LIMITED)
MAYBE BAD HDMI CABLE. SEEN IT SEVERAL TIMES B4

In that case all you can do is connect each device you're connecting to the television to the surround sound. You would connect the device to the television for video only and connect the sound cables to the surround sound. You may also be able to connect the devices directly to the surround sound (video and audio) and then connect it to one of the television's inputs.

Not enough info here. But basically, the Audio Out from your TV (could be Toslink fiber-optic or Digital Coax or just Red and White Audio cables) go into the receiver's inputs (either TV, or Aux or whatever). If you just use the Red and White cables (stereo), you will not get true surround sound though. Just put your receiver on whichever one you hook it to (ie: Aux) and whatever sound is on the TV will come out the Stereo or Surround Sound. It's all a matter of hooking TV out to Stereo IN. The tv must have a stand alone audio output that you would connect the audio composite cables to going to the aux or audio input of the surround sound system. You may need to switch the surround sound system to aux mode or av input 1 or 2 and etc. If you are connecting a cable box or satellite tv box to this television instead of connecting the audio composite cables between it and the tv, connec them between it and the stereo surround sound system.

use your t/v audio out with RCA cables to your reciever input like(vcr in, dvd in, dtv in)

Okay let me start with your pc setup. What type of sound card are you using? Are you using onboard? You have to check and see if the sound card or device you are using supports SPDIF passthrough. Basically this does just what it says...passes the surround sound signal through your hardware with no onboard decoding and uses the decoder found on your stereo. I use a soundblaster Audigy and i had to enable passthrough in the audio console. I also had to enable spdif as my default audio playback device. This is in Windows Vista. You also need to go into properties and set the formats your receiver supports. Once that is complete you need to adjust the audio settings in media center and select toslink as your audio output and select 5.1 audio.

Things should work now...BUT...you will only get surround sound audio when watching a source that has dolby 5.1 or DTS. You will not get surround sound in games =( When i watch ota hd shows that have dolby audio, the blue light kicks on in my receiver and i get 5.1 audio. Same goes for watching DVD's.
