Read the Thread here.

Note:-
Generic Host Process for Win32 Services or svchost.exe is a legal and essential component of Windows which is used to host services which run from dynamic-link libraries (DLLs).

Please note that legal svchost.exe should reside in Windows\System32 folder and should not appear in startup list.

If it does appear, do a Malware/spyware/virus scan on your PC.

I have a problem that is hard to solve and all it is, is this window that keeps poping up, its an error report and if I click send error report it has to restart the computer and it gets really annoying...

First, run windows updates.

Type this on the address bar of internet explorer.

http://www.update.microsoft.com/windowsupdate/v6/default.aspx?ln=en-us

Then after you do all updates, download and run the free malware bytes version and run a full scan. This software is free to run but if you want the full version it will cost around 30 to 40 bucks.

http://download.cnet.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html?part=dl-10804572&subj=dl&tag=button

This should help you update the hardware drivers for you computer and also eliminate any spyware that may be using up your memory or making your computer work harder than it should.

Hope this helps!

Generic host error

Hai,
svchost.exe is a system file, and it seems this file has got corrupted some how.
Try this, if u have the install CD of the OS, try boot from the CD
and go for new installation, in the final Partition selection part u will get a OS repair option. Press R and the system will repair the corrupted files to its original.
Then go for a full virus scan with an updated antivirus utility.
good luck
