Mp3 player keeps getting SYNC notice

Everytime I turn on my mp3 player I get a Sync notice. When I plug player into computer it won't let me Sync player. How can I delete songs on player and reload new songs back on player so I can Sync player

    Everytime I try to sync my insignia mp3 player it won't sync. When I plug it into the usb it makes a triple tone sound and then something pops on my screen that tells me this device can go faster. When I open up my computer my mp3 player is not recognized.

For some reason all the data on my insignia disappeared. Now it won't sync with any computers and I thus can't reload any music. How do I remedy this please?

For NS-DA1G and NS-DA2G: If you are receiving a SYNC notice, your DRM media license has expired. If you are using a media manager like Best Buy Digital Media Store or Windows Media Player. you will first need to authorize the player as an MTP device (device authorized to play Digital Rights Management song files) and then re-acquire the licenses for the tracks. There should be a button that allows this function in your media software.

If you want to remove your DRM tracks, got to:
MENU - Settings - USB - File & Folder

This puts your player into Mass Storage Mode. Once in this mode the player will act like a USB drive and you can navigate to and delete your unwanted files.

These are the most common methods for recovering Sandisk's Sansa Mp3 Players. I have been almost universally successful in recovering Sansa players using one or a combination of these methods. These methods do not work if you are having synchronization or music format issues - they are for recovering a player that will not power up, freezes, flashes, is not recognized by the computer, and a host of other issues.

Reset the Sansa Player first. On most models, restart is done by holding the power button in for 15 seconds or longer. Check your specific manual to be sure. The manuals are available from the Sansa website if they have been misplaced.
Download the Sansa Recovery Tool from the Sansa website.
Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once. Note: this method doesn't work if already have the latest firmware. Go to this website and click "Firmware Updater" to find out: http://www.sandisk.com/DriverDownload/driverList.asp
If these fail, then:
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. There are two ways to format an Mp3 player - one on the computer itself, and one in Windows Media Player. Both methods will end up erasing all the songs on the player, but the player will be "good as new" after that. Sometimes reformatting in this manner will override the player's native formatting and cause problems - this can be reversed in most cases by updating the player's firmware. Firmware upgrades are available from most manufacturers' websites.

WARNING: The following procedures will erase all songs on the player.

Check if the file system is NTFS. If yes, format it to FAT or FAT32. - Connect player to computer, double-click my computer, right click on icon of mp3 player and select format. This only applies to Windows-based computers.
You can also format the player in Windows Media Player itself:
Connect your Mp3 player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "name of Mp3 player here 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.

Boot error /format unit comes up on the screen when I turn the mp3 player on. When I plug in to the coputer the screen on the mp3 just blinks like its trying to read but don't . Can you help me? Everytime...

Here's what happened: When you first synced your player to Windows Media Player, you may have set up the automatic sync option. When this option is selected, Windows Media Player will add EVERY song, picture, etc from your Library on your computer to the player. Now, every time you sync you device, it adds every new file from your computer into the player automatically. It will even delete songs from your player that were on there before.

Go into Windows Media Player 11 with your player connected to the computer (it will automatically sync and add new files one last time), move the mouse cursor over to the sync tab; a small black arrow will appear under the word "Sync"; click on the small black arrow and a dropdown menu will appear; select "Portable media device" from the dropdown menu, and another dropdown menu will appear; select "Set Up sync"; a window will appear with some information on your device - uncheck the box that says "Sync this device automatically"; click Finish; This will eliminate the problem of Windows always adding/deleting songs/files you don't want into your player.

your computer has its own personal i-tunes for your i-pod and all your music is saved to that computer so if you plug your i-pod into someone elses computer it will eighther sync all thier music to your i-pod or it will erase all the music on your i-pod they dont have on thier computer...my sujjestion is to buy a plug in to the wall charger for your i-pod if your barely home to charge it. that way you keep your music yet charge your i-pod to.
