have you tried : Menu . Settings. Page down to restore factory settings. select. It should then ask you for decurity code, and providing you havent changed it, the default security code is usually 12345. Enter the code and off you go hopefully! Dont forget if this isnt the code for your phone, your phone will self lock if you enter it (or any incorrect code) 3 times. Hope this helps :-)
You have not mentioned which settings you want to restore. I take it that you want to restore factory settings.Go to settings in the menu and choose restore factory settings. Your phone will be set to factory settings and you can start afresh
try giving restore factory settings ... when you give the restore factory settings it will ask for the security code give that and after the restore of factory settings restart your phone once ...
if you still persist any problem ... then you can update the firmware(only if you have the data cable for your cell) by downloading the " nokia software updater" from the nokia site ...
