Kenmore Series 90 top loading washing does not fill with water

I have a Kenmore Series 90 top loading washing machine. When I start a wash cycle most times no water comes in. Immediately it starts the agitation cycle with no water in the tub. If I mess with the reset button for the load size the water will come in but fills to the top of the tub no matter what level is set. The water also does not come in when it gets to the rinse cycle unless I mess with the load size reset know. Is this a timer problem?

Well, I checked the wiring on the control panel but could not find any loose connections. I also checked the pressure tubing from the pressure switch to the bottom of the tub. No holes or cracks in the tubing. Could it be a problem with the pressure switch?

Well you eliminated the fill valve when you said it does fill with water. More than likely its a bad connection on the control board. I wouldn't betmy paycheck on it but thats where I'd start. Take the cover off the control board and while machine is on being really careful wiggle each wire until the water starts in the tub and you have found the problem.

I have a top loading Kenmore Washing Machine. I don´t have the excat model but looks like a KENMORE HEAVY DUTY SERIES 70 AUTOMATIC WASHER, MODEL # 110.92273100. The problem presents after finishing...

You may have 2 defective parts.
First, make sure the hot and cold water hoses are connected correctly and both turned on.
If the water fill problem is the same, the water temp switch is bad.
The not filling after the wash cycle could be a bad lid switch.
Set the machine for SPIN and turn it on.
If it does not spin, replace the lid switch.

Kenmore 90 Plus Series washer washer takes forever

is the cold water all the way on?

if so, the first thing to do would be to check the screens in the cold water fill hose and the screen in the cold side of the water valve on the back of the machine. if that is not the problem then replace the water valve.

(turn the water off before taking the hose loose)

Kenmore Series 90 washing machine, won't start cycle

First, see the Sears Parts site for your washer:

http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/getModel!retrieve.pd?modelNumber=110.26912691&pathTaken=partSearch

Next, see the Whirlpool / Kenmore Service manual for top load, direct drive washers:

https://secured.whirlpool.com/Service/SrvTechAdm.nsf/2cd44500d572193285256a45004fd9d6/f7e2147fa98b28cf85257122007475cb/$FILE/L-55.pdf

I hate to say it but it sounds like a Timer problem.

I'd use the troubleshooting section of the Service Manual and the timer testing procedures to confirm the problem.

Note that there are two types of timers with different procedures to remove them.

Also see the following for how to release the console for access to the timer and other controls.
