When error message 4E is displayed, you should clean the water hose mesh filter. To do this:

1. Turn off the water source to the washing machine.
2. Unscrew the hose from the back of the washing machine.
3. With a pair of pliers, gently pull out the mesh filter from the end of the hose and rinse it under water until clean. Also clean the inside and outside of the threaded connector.
4. Push the filter back into place.
5. Screw the hose back onto the washing machine.
6. Turn on the faucet and make sure the connections are watertight.


Also, please check the following:
• Make sure the source water faucet is turned on.
• Check the water pressure.

Samsung J845 had a 4E error cleaned filters leading to water valve still did not fix so purchased new water inlet valve, Installed and now have 0E error and even when turning power off water still flows ....
Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

1) Is the new valve connected correctly- wires definitely in the right place?
2) If you still have the old valve put that back in to see if the symptoms are as they were. If the symptoms have changed another fault has developed ;-0(
3) If the symptoms are back to how they were originally i.e. 4E/no water there is a problem with the new valve OR possibly it is/was wired incorrectly (?)
4) If you cannot check with the old valve it means a service call ;-0(

I have a samsung 7Kg J845 front load washing mechine, when i turn on, water not fills enough ( only water fills couple of seconds after stops flows. the error shows 4E, Then i clean up all mesh filters...

Ongoing problem with my Samsung j845. First we got 4e messages which I traced back to a worn out solenoid switch at the water intake. Have put a new one in but now the water won't stop! - and a nasty buzz...
I am a repairer.this problem is in the electronic PCB.The inlet valve has spiked the PCB.the PCB now is providing constant power to the valve even when not being told to.You have replaced the valve but now runs water as soon as you switch power on at machine.PCB needs to be changed as well.

Samsung j845 oe error
What you need to be looking at is the water lever sensor. Take the top off by removing 2 screws in the back (Top right and top left). Slide the top off. Now you want to be standing in the front. The front right side is the sensor. Make sure the hose is properly connected underneath. If you have a meter, take a resistance measurement across the two end pins. Should read about 20 ohms or so.

Samsung Washing machine fault
The manual says Mke sure the soucre water faucet it turned on. Check the water pressure. turn off water and unscrew the hose from the back of the washing machine. it says to pull out the nesh filter from the end of the hose and ricse it under water until clean with a pair of pliers.also clean the inside and outside of the threaded connector. push the filter back into place, screw the hose back onto the washing maching. turn on the faucet and maike sure the connections are watertight.
