My compact fromt load washer will only work on the heavy regular cycle. All other cycles the door will lock and the start button will flash or the washer will just sit there and do nothing.

Good Afternoon Leszek - Thank you for your question. Based on
the symptoms you are describing it sounds like the unit has a faulty timer or a
potential wiring failure. Try reprogramming the unit by either unplugging it or
flipping the household circuit breaker to the off position. It is important to
wait approximately ten minutes and then turn on the unit. If issue persists,
then at this point I strongly suggest reaching out to a professional that can
accurately diagnose and repair the washer.
Hi, This is a common question we face daily. Certain washing machines allow hot water to enter only during certain cycles. Others allow hot and cold to enter intermittently. Consult your owner's manual to be absolutely sure about this. If you're sure the machine isn't working the way it used to--or should--try these tests: Is the hot water turned on? If not, turn it on. Is the washer getting cold water but no hot water? If so, check to see if the control panel settings are correct. Thanks for writing to Fixya.com and I am Aparajita. I will be assisting you today.
It sounds like you have a busted coupler. It's what connects the motor to the transmission. They will bust, letting the machine work unless it's under a load. It then spreads out and the motor shaft spins inside the coupler.
you dont need to reset the times, all that has changed is the soil type. in example, light, regular or heavy. that is what causes the times to change. you just need to push the options button until it shows the type of cycle you want. also make sure you have the proper cycle selected and then look to see what other options are selected. you just have too many options turned on, so look at the controls to see what is different then you remember.
