PS3 DNS error (80710102)

As the name implies this is a DNS error. Try replacing the default DNS with IP addresses from the OpenDNS project, which supplies free DNS. Here are a couple to try: 208.67.222.222 or/and 208.67.220.220

Reset your modem/router.

use a wireless router

reboot your router. " 80710101
Connection error
80710102
IP conflict , PS3 Cannot connect to the router with current IP information - Try rebooting your router"

Try disabling the "WEP" key on you router. I've read the solutions from other contributers and tech's and this solution seemed to really work.

in the dns server # type in 4.2.2.2 and 4.2.2.1 that should fix the error

try this # at DNS entry 4.2.2.2 and 4.2.2.1

4.2.2.2 and 4.2.2.1 input this code at the dns #. that should help

well lets see if ur using a wireless connection on this ... ur system can only do one wire less and 1 wired system

This is a common issue, do you have a thumb drive or aka flash usb drive? If you do use your computer to d/l the firmwareupdate
HERE then load the firware update from the thumb drive onto the ps3 via one of the usb ports on it, and hopefully this will fix your issue.
