I have a Tenant that has a Hotpoint Model CTX21E Refrigerator and it had the problem with water collecting at the bottom of the fridge below the plastic drawers also. After removing the panel at the back of the freezer, I found that the small tapered drain pan below the freezer coils was rusted and the water was actually draining past the plastic funnel below the freezer coils instead of dumping in to the drain so it would run down the back of the fridge inside & into the cavity below the 2 plastic drawers. I fixed by forming putty around the drain hole to direct the water back in to the drain tube so it would drain to the bottom of the fridge in the collection pan. Cheap Fix!

Begin by removing the grill on the front at floor level. look under there and you will see the evaporation pan. next pull the fridge out from the wall so you can get behind it. there you will see the tube. to unclog it you will have to disconnect it at the top and force hot water into it using a turkey baster.

Water accumulating inside fridge bottom make GE Model #gta18pbnaww

That's normal especially if you tend to leave the door open alot. Moisture from the outside air condenses and drips to the bottom. Also, if the refrigerator is automatic self-defrosting it will melt ice collecting around the refrigerator and the resulting water will collect at the bottom. Check under the food drawers for a drain hole. If it is clogged, clean it out. If it doesn't exist, periodically sponge out the bottom under the drawers.

I have water collecting at the bottom of the frig under the crisper drawers. It appears to be coming from the freezer. Do I need to defrost and if so how?

It shouldnt need to be defrosted if it is a frost free refer. It sounds like your defrost drain line is clogged and backing up. Check the drain pan underneath refer.

Water collects at bottom/Ice forms in top

Hi,

The defrost drain is located just under the cooling coils in the back of the freezer. You will need to unload the food and remove the shelves from the freezer. Take the back panel off from inside the freezer and you will see a hole just below the coils. Flush it with hot water using a turkey baster or small hose. See the link below for more details.

Water/liquid collects at bottom of refrigerator under vegetable drawers

For water collecting inside of a refrigerator, there is usually something leaking inside, or perhaps the door seal is letting moist air into it.

Water collecting under crisper drawer at bottom of frig.

There is a leak somewhere in your defrost drain. Most times this is caused by a blockage near the area of the leakage. Below is a link to a very informative way to help you resolve the problem. Thanks.

No water collecting in my hotpoint aquarious cdt00

If you pull out the front left bottom filter and feel inside and find that it is wet, then there is a blockage, this stops the water getting to the water container.
Clean as much fluff and gunge as you can from this compartment, and feel for and locate a small drainage hole at the rear, get a plastic bag tie or similar, and poke the hole clear.
Hopefully, this will solve your prob.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.
