I have owned the targus wireless mouse pawm10u for quite some time. i know that the mouse works on batteries which can be rechargable or it can work without batteries as long as it is connected to the laptop via usb. i have tried batteries and usb connection but the mouse no longer works either way. can these things burn out? is it time for another mouse? i have trouble using the touch pad on my laptop and i need my mouse!!

    i checked the drivers for my device and was informed that the drivers are up to date and that the device was working properly.

    my keyboard is not wireless. it is fine as it is attached to the laptop. my issue lies with the wireless mouse.......

First check in laptop that your wireless mouse driver are installed proeprly.
Reinstall drivers then check.

    check your wireless mouse is not disabled in control panel.

    If still same issue then it is mouse hardware issue.

    Repair it.

I have a targus wireless mouse MODEL:AMW1603EU the reciver light does not come on and the mouse light doesnt go of nor does it work.
Did you ensure the ON/OFF Switch is set to ON? Did you also try replacing the batteries, then pressing the connect button on the receiver followed by the connect button on the bottom of the mouse?

My targus wireless mouse
I had this happen to me after reprogramming my tv remote too close to my laptop and mouse. Try resetting the reciever and then the mouse by pushing the reset buttons on each one while they are plugged in ( reciever first, then the mouse ).
