The best solution is to get a replacement CD from Panasonic at

They may replace the CD at a reasonable cost (or free plus S&H). Otherwise they can suggest other editing software that can upload your recordings to the PC.

Hi,
There is no download available for the driver for the camcorder. You can transfer photos from the memory card to computer.
Follow the steps to copy pictures from SD card to computer:
Connect memory card reader to your computer through usb.
Then select the pictures which you want to transfer to computer.
Then copy the pictures and go to the directory in computer where you want to save it.
That's it, you have uploaded the pictures from the memory card to computer.

I normally add -fixya to the end of my google searches, i forgot to this time. This is the only answer i have ever found in any way helpful on this terrible terrible site. I will still add -fixya, but at least i found one answer for my thousands of dead-ends.
you will need to connect your camcorder to your computer
click start click on my computer to open from there you should see your camcorder then right click to select open you should see the data/files in there select what you want to delete right click select delete or you can right click select format this will delete all data on hard disk
