Insigna NS-32D20SNA14 has black screen, no sounds.. What maybe the problem?

Common problem is this series is the power board fails. Unfortunately it often takes the main board as well.

T- Con . If you had no sound then I'd say main board.

Check and replace the T'Con board. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. Surf the site with patience.

It doesn't appear to have Bluetooth...

Check this link. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ It has details about the firmware update to many brand TVs, with screen shots. Pull up previous posts there, either by its left side bar, or view it in Timslide option. Firmware update process to Insigna models are there.

Set your TV input to match the input your have your Insigna connected to. Then run the Insignia setup. You are getting a distorted screen because you probably have the Insignia connected to channel 3 and the TV on channel 4.

1) Hold the power button (slider) in the on position for about 15-20 seconds to force the player to turn off, if it's already on.

2) Hold the menu button down and simultaneously hold the power button (slider) to the on position.

3) Do not let go when the device turns on. You will then get a screen message in black and white that reads (with a typo):

WARRING !!!

NAND FLASH MEMORY INITIALIZE......

"WARRING !!!" will appear in red (and probably should read "WARNING". You will have the options of "No" and "Yes".

4) Choose "Yes" to re-format your device.

common problems:

check your head phones if it's still working, try new headphones.
check if it's being muted

last one if nothing happened your phone jack broke
