Next, hook up the router to your computer with a LAN cable. Open a browser and enter 192.168.1.1 into the url address window. The default login is 1234. Then configure the wireless settings - see pages 6 & 7 of the guide.
Can't use a router as a repeater in a wireless sense. You could set it to AP mode and run an ethernet cable from a lan port on your other router to the WAN/uplink port on the Zyxel. If it doesn't have AP mode then you could have it in gateway mode run have a different subnet on the Zyxel with DHCP.
Dc output is 12v and 1amp. You can buy power adapter for Zyxel P660HW-D1 from nearest computer shop or from internet. It's power adapter needs 12v and 1 amp. Let me know if you need further assistance. Thanks for using FixYa.
i had the same problem too with my'n. My issue was on of my setting's was set to block that wi-fi connection. Try switching your setting for finding internet connection from automatic to manual. that should do the trick!
Problem with the Zyxel P-660? I experienced:
1. laptop would see the wireless 660HW briefly and then it would disappear.
2. laptop would not see wireless at all.
3. same issue with desktop when using USB wireless 11g dongle
4. no problem on wired connection (ethernet)
EASY solution! if Zyxel is set to scan for a channel it will want to work on channel 13 nearly every time in a busy environment.
HP laptops and many receivers cannot recieve on 13 - highest channel is 12.
Pick on setting for the Zyxel which matches an available channel on your receiver. Problem solved.
Since you are referring to a router you can access the configuration using the web configuration you just need to type the router default ip address on your browser to access the configuration.
