I have a panasonic stereo i am servicing with F-61 error when turned on,i have changed both output ic,s,does anyone have any ideas, thanks john!!
Need to know how to get rid of F-61, cause my stereo is completely dead...model# SA-AK78
Most propably is that you have replaced the power output ic's for nothing. the problem is a dirty socket on card number: RJB2191B which is the card on the side of the system connected to the power amp. the socket is propably CN603A but if i were you i would take all ribbon cables out clean the sockets with contact cleaner and clean also the ribbon cables. insert the cables back in the sockets respectively and check for any dry joints under the sockets,(could be the cause also), check everything is in place and switch on. hope this helped.

Have you changed the Regulator IC? Also check the IC protector next to regulator, it looks like a fusable resistor.
Check your fan. Mine did the same. Fan goes on and off when I took it off. When its on, system works normal. Needs to be replaced. Had a humming sound from it before it went out. Dont know how to replaced it personally. But checked Panosonic website, and range $17.00. If you know how to install, please advise.
